I think that with much more rare equipment in the World of Warcraft, you see the basics of supply and demand working. There certainly are MMORPGs that are much "closer" to following the laws of supply and demand. Have you checked out EVE Online?

Great! Thanks for the push! I was out of town after Christmas and will be posting regularly now.
I never thought that blogging would be difficult especially juggling it with a job and particularly your mood.
Btw, what mode of payment do you use for b5media? just email me. Gracias!

Good insight. What the game fails to show you is that the NPCs/merchants you are selling to represent regulation by the government: a unified economy, at least for your faction, that has a (low) set price for buying the items you no longer want to keep. In tandem with the Soulbound mechanic, it makes for a cleaner server environment and gameplay... unlike some games where any rare item one picks up can be sold even after use for tremendous amounts of ingame or even real money. I for one am all for the attempt at simplifying the World... i get too much stress dealing with the factors of real life as it is to bother dealing with them all again in a diversion. :)

[...] With this blog being just a day old (just imported to wordpress yesterday) I had make a change to the template that I was pretty happy with… until I decided I wanted my sloganizer back. It never really occurred to me that since my old template had the sidebars on the left side my sloganizer would interfere with my posts. I went looking for a nice elegant looking template that had the sidebars on the right side and this is what you see now. [...]

Nice writeup. I also enjoyed the movie very much. Craig impressed me in his portrayal of Bond -- much more in the vein of early Connery than the slickness of Pierce Brosnan (which I also happened to like). Very gritty film. For some reason (probably because I think she's awesome), Dench's presence didn't bother me as much as stuff like cell phones, etc. Still, with so much going on, I got over that quickly enough. :-)

[...] I mentioned before that I had to quit playing World of Warcraft because my eye condition called Keratoconus. I’ve had it for more than 5 years already but I wore special lenses back then. Ever since my opthalmologist prdered me to stop wearing them I’ve been living in a blur but thankfully I can see well enough (actually… just barely) to use to PC to write stuff. i have to stick my face closer to the monitor than I normally should but it’s the only way I can get to see what I’m reading and writing.
At first I thought I'd eventually need one until I met my current eye doctor. She said she's has treated other patients who's had worse conditions than I have (even almost totally blind people) without corneal transplant. I just need to be patient and wait for my corneas to naturally heal themselves.

I'm currently noticing a slow but steady improvement in my vision and hopefully I'll be able to see well enough with the aid of glasses in a matter of months.
